Mr Fothergills Butternut Squash Seeds - Sweetmax F1 Variety
Sweetmax F1 is a vigorous British bred Butternut squash variety that sets fruit early for great results in UK weather. These seeds will yield high quality butternut squash fruits with great tasting sweet flesh, suitable for both exhibition & cooking. Each plant produces up to 3 fruits that grow up to 3kg in size.
Sow indoors between March-May or outdoors in May & they will typically be ready to Harvest between September-November.

Advice & Tips:
- Sow indoors in small pots of compost for best results
- Keep in the warmth - a temperature of 15-20°C is ideal & keep moist
- Seedlings usually appear in 7-14 days
- Gradually accustom plants to outside conditions before planting out - avoid frosts
- Plant out 90cm apart when frosts are over
- Or sow outdoors where they will crop, allowing 90cm between positions
- Water well until established
- Crops can be stored in a dry, frost-free place for 1-2 months
