Mr Fothergills Runner Bean Seeds - Crusader
Crusader is a reliable runner bean variety with large crops of straight, very long pods, perfect for exhibition as well as the garden. Sow these seeds indoors or outdoors for great tasting, traditional flavoured runner beans that are ideal for deep freezing.
Sow indoors between April-March or sow outside between May-July & they will typically be ready to Harvest between July-October.

Advice & Tips:
- Sow indoors in individual pots for best results
- Keep in the warmth - a temperature of 15-20°C is ideal & keep moist
- Seedlings usually appear within 7-14 days
- Gradually accustom plants to outside conditions before planting out - avoid frosts
- Water well until established
- Provide poles or netting for plants to climb
- Pick regularly to encourage further cropping
