Mr Fothergills Dwarf French Bean Seeds - Nautica Variety

Nautica is a disease resistant dwarf French bean with high yields of extra fine bean pods that have an excellent snap. Suitable for growing in pots, these seeds will yield vigorous & bushy plants for tasty, succulent beans that are ideal for deep freezing & provide a good source of vitamins & fibre.

Sow indoors between April-May or sow outdoors between May-July & they will typically be ready to harvest between June-October.

Advice & Tips:

• Sow indoors in individual pots for best results
• Keep in the warmth - a temperature of 15-20°C is ideal & keep moist
• Seedlings usually appear within 7-14 days
• Gradually accustom plants to outside conditions before planting out - avoid frosts
• Delay sowing outdoors if soil is cold or waterlogged
• Water well until established
• Pick regularly to encourage further cropping
• For the earliest crops sow in April & protect with cloches until pods form
• In hot weather mist flowers with tepid water in the evening to help pods form
