Mr Fothergills Gherkin Cucumber Seeds - Cornichon de Paris Variety
Cornichon de Paris is a French heirloom outdoor cucumber variety that produces large numbers of small & crunchy 'cornichons' also known as Gherkins with a sweet flavour, perfect for pickling. For the best flavour these cucumbers should be harvested when up to 5cm long.
Sow indoors between March-April or outdoors between May-June & they will typically be ready to Harvest between July-October.

Advice & Tips:
Sow indoors in small pots & water well
Keep in the warmth - a temperature of 21-24°C is ideal & keep moist
Seedlings usually appear within 7-14 days
When plants have developed 3-4 leaves transplant into 12cm pots & grow on in cooler conditions
Gradually accustom plants to outside conditions before planting out
Pinch out growing tips when 6 leaves have formed to encourage side shoots
Sow outdoors into finely prepared soil allowing 60cm between rows
Harvest when fruits are between 2.5-5cm long for sweetest flavour
