Alternatively known as Powder Puff Dahlias, Blue Bayou produces dark red, fluffy and crinkled central petals, with more traditionally-shaped petals on the outside in a stunning lavender pink hue. This variety may have an unusual design, but it is a stunning addition to beds and borders with an approximate eventual height of 100cm, and flower heads which reach a diameter of up to 12cm.

When cut, the blooms look wonderful as part of a bouquet or indoor arrangement, bringing variety, texture and brightness to any area of your home.

Advice & Tips:

• Plant in late spring once the risk of frost has passed, in a location with plenty of sun.
• Tubers should be planted in the ground approximately 15cm deep, with approximately 60cm between dahlia tubers.
• Dahlias like to be well-watered, but not waterlogged, so their soil needs good drainage.
• After the flowers have died down, lift the tubers and store in a frost-free location in dry compost until the Spring, or leave in the ground and cover with mulch in the winter months if in a mild location.
