Mr Fothergill's sage seeds produce a hardy evergreen plant that can be sown either indoors or outdoors. A strongly aromatic herb that complements meats well, sage is a popular ingredient in stuffing. It dries & stores well and can be harvested year round.

Advice & Tips:
Sow indoors for best results
Sow thinly (0.5cm deep) in small trays of compost & water well
Keep in the warmth - a temperature of 15-20°C is ideal
Seedlings usually appear within 14-28 days
Repot seedlings individually into 8cm pots when large enough & move to cooler conditions
Gradually accustom plants to outside conditions before planting out
When sowing outdoors sow thinly in finely prepared soil, allowing 30cm between each plant
