Mr Fothergills Benchmaster Runner Bean Seeds

Benchmaster is a high quality British bred runner bean great for use in exhibition as well as cooking. These seeds will produce vigorous plants with good crops of long, smooth & straight runner bean pods with a great flavour, ideal for deep freezing.

Sow indoors between April-May or sow outdoors between May-July & they will typically be ready to Harvest between July-October.

Advice & Tips:

• Sow indoors in individual pots for best results
• Keep in the warmth - a temperature of 15-20°C is ideal & keep moist
• Seedlings usually appear within 7-14 days
• Gradually accustom plants to outside conditions before planting out - avoid frosts
• Delay sowing outdoors if soil is cold or waterlogged
• Water well until established
• Provide poles or netting for plants to climb
• Pick regularly to encourage further cropping
