Mr Fothergills Aintree Runner Bean Seeds
Aintree is a British bred runner bean variety with very straight, slender pods that set reliably & grow between 25-30cm long. Sow these seeds indoors or outdoors for sweet tasting, fleshy pods that have little string or fibre when young.
Sow indoors between April-May or sow outdoors between May-July & they will typically be ready to Harvest between July-October.

Advice & Tips:
- Sow indoors in individual pots for best results
- Keep in the warmth - a temperature of 15-20°C is ideal & keep moist
- Seedlings usually appear within 7-14 days
- Gradually accustom plants to outside conditions before planting out - avoid frosts
- Delay sowing outdoors if soil is cold or waterlogged
- Water well until established
- Provide poles or netting for plants to climb
- Pick regularly to encourage further cropping
