Chervil is an easy to grow half hardy annual that can be grown both indoors & outdoors and can be sown & harvested year round. One of the classic 'fine herbs', chervil has a delicate & refined flavour that is sweet with a hint of aniseed. Also known as 'gourmet parsley', this herb makes a great herb butter to use with fish, potatoes & asparagus. Its leaves can be dried or frozen but for best flavour use fresh.

Advice & Tips:
Sow thinly outdoors; seedlings usually appear within 14-21 days
Thin seedlings to 20cm apart
Water well until plants are established
Sow every 2-3 weeks to ensure a continuous supply
Or sow thinly indoors in small pots of compost & water well
Keep in the warmth - a temperature of 15-20°C is ideal
Plants can be grown on a light windowsill
Harvest leaves as required throughout the year
Pick a few leaves from each plant to ensure quick re-growth
Outdoor crops can be harvested from May
