Mr Fothergill's Lemon basil seeds will produce a half hardy annual plant that can be sown either indoors or outdoors. This easy to grow variety can be sown & harvested year round and can be grown in pots, making it a great herb for your windowsill. Advice & Tips:
Sow indoors year round or outdoors March-May
Sow indoors thinly in small pots of compost & water well
Keep in the warmth - a temperature of 15-20°C is ideal
Seedlings usually appear within 7-14 days
Gradually accustom plants to outside conditions before planting out
When sowing outdoors sow thinly where they will crop
Thin seedlings to 20cm apart
Sow every 2-3 weeks to ensure a continuous supply of leaves
Harvest indoor crops year round & outdoor crops from June
